Working from her home in Somerset, Prue Piper creates eccentric thrown pottery. After accomplishing her PhD in Biochemistry, she pursued her interest in pottery by taking classes in Frome before ultimately embarking on her own artistic path. She produces her eclectic ceramics using the kiln that formerly belonged to her father-in-law, John Piper CE.

With little formal training Prue has freely developed her own style, unaffected by trends and conventions. Using coloured glazes and relief work, she often references folklore and mythology. Prue’s multi-coloured collection of jugs, vases and candlesticks demonstrate a cheerful lightness and bring joy to the everyday.
