Edgar Campden (b. 1930) apprenticed with renowned potter Alan Caiger-Smith at Aldermaston Pottery in Berkshire.
After joining the pottery in 1961, he developed his own designs becoming a peer and contemporary of Caiger-Smith. Together they mastered the science behind reduced lustre pottery. Campden worked at Aldermaston for over 30 years until 1993, when the Pottery closed.
