Born in Santiago, Chile, Casasempere has exhibited extensively in his own country, as well as in North America and Europe. He moved to London in 1997 and brought with him 12 tonnes of his own mixtures of clay and industrial waste, confirming his identity and his great concern for the environment. The Chilean landscape and Pre-Colombian background of the Latin world are continuous in his sculptures.

Casasempere’s largest sculpture yet is exhibited in the Jerwood Sculpture Park at Ragley Hall.  He has also shown a large installation in the Economist Plaza, London.
Recently he was chosen to exhibit in ‘Beyond Limits’, Sotheby’s prestigious sculpture exhibition at Chatsworth, Derbyshire.

Casasempere’s works can be found in the V&A Museum, the Coca-Cola Museum, Shell Company, Ladeco Collections in Chile, and in numerous private collections. He has been represented by Joanna Bird since 2005.
